I sort of feel like I should be posting something humorous for April Fool’s Day, but this part of the story just isn’t very conducive to that. Oh well, there’s always next year…
Thank you… I do find that I enjoy doing the ink splatters quite a bit. Possibly because it’s one of the few socially-acceptable ways for an adult to make a big o’ mess. It’s acceptable to me anyway, my wife disagrees
I’m curious one day if you’ll do a youtube vid of your techniques in putting these pages together? I’d love to know some of the technical details re: paper, ink, and brush techiques.
Well first of all I’m totally flattered that you’d even ask (and sorry for the late reply – I just came back from a week-long trip to the boonies, where there’s no internet). I probably won’t be able to do a video at this time, mostly because I don’t have access to a video camera But maybe I can get some photos together and show scans of the artwork at different stages…
Pics with tutorial info around them would be really awesome too. (No worries re: late reply, as you can tell my own time span runs on the scale of weeks not hours.)
