Having drawn mostly talking heads lately, I’ve been itching to do some action scenes. So this is me scratching that itch
This might be a tad premature, but I have some news that might affect the updating schedule for this comic: I have recently accepted an offer to draw scientific illustrations for an online textbook-type company, it’s a project-based gig, and some weeks I’ll have more illustrations due than others (and some weeks there’ll be none at all), so – and you probably know where I’m going – depending on how many illustrations I have to do, I might not be able to update this comic every week. As excited as I am about this new opportunity (and I am quite excited about this because it’s a chance for me to do something that combines two of my passions in life – science and drawing), I’m also a little sad to think that I might not be able to work on this comic as much, at least for the near future. I haven’t started doing the illustrations yet, so I don’t really know how much time it’s going to take, but I thought I should give you guys a heads-up. Drawing an ROTK comic has been a long-standing dream of mine and I don’t intend to give it up – I’ll be updating this comic as frequently as I can, and if I have to miss some time I’ll let you all know here.

First of all… Congrats on the new gig!! Sounds like a great fit for you and a great adventure to embark upon!! i foresee many hemi sectioned cells and halved mitochondria and ERs in your future! i do imagine that it would be fun drawing vesicles and membrane rafts though!
As for ROTK, i’ll be here with baited breath for each update as it comes!!
Also, love the fight scene… always good fun abusing geldings!
That is awesome! Congratulations! I hope it comes through for you! We will definitely be here when you are able to post comics. Ya just use the down moments to get an archive together for the busy moments!
Thanks guys, I really do appreciate the encouragement, and I’ll do my best to keep interruptions to a minimum
祝贺你取得成功! 我一点也不意外。你的工作一直表现得很杰出.
Thanks Mercy… that means more than you could probably guess
The next page is not ready yet… and it doesn’t have anything to do with the new gig – it’s my grandma’s 90th birthday on Monday, and I’ve been swamped in the general craziness that seems to always happen whenever I’m getting ready for the long trip to the Old Country
I’ll try to get the page done before I leave (the sketch is already done, so it only needs to be inked), otherwise I’ll finish it when I come back in a couple weeks.
Good luck on the new gig, and I hope the trip went well. I’m looking forward to the rest of the story!
Thanks Scott! The new gig is going well – almost done with the first assignment. I’ve started inking the next page for this comic as well… slowly but surely it will be done
He Jin the action hero! I think I like this version of him quite a bit, hehe.
