Those of you who are familiar with Chinese medicine will know that most illnesses are attributed to an imbalance between the cold and warm aspects of the body (much like the four humours in ancient Western medicine). The king is alluding to this concept in the middle panel.
Also I have no idea if they had open caskets back in China back in the day. But they do now, so that’s how I did this scene.

Thanks Vonbek! I too would love to get a print comic together someday. These days I’m barely keeping up with the weekly updates, so I’ll have to figure out how to squeeze out some time to get it done. But that’s one of the times I think being in a collective helps – lots of experienced people I can get advice from, so at least I won’t have to figure it all out by myself
