Double-checked the shoulder pad this time to make sure it’s on the left 
Sometimes when I’m drawing faces I find myself making the same faces that my characters are making. Not sure why I do it… I’m not being my own model – I don’t have a mirror where I draw, so I can’t see my own face. That panel in the middle with the laughing Ts’ao Ts’ao is an example. I grinned like an idiot the whole time I was drawing that panel.
I only just noticed, but you gave Ts’ao Ts’ao a goatee! Not surprising, given the way he’s presented in ROTTK. I’m sure the face-pulling is simply a sign of your emotional connection to the characters:
“Regard your soldiers as your children, and they will follow you into the deepest valleys; look on them as your own beloved sons, and they will stand by you even unto death.”
Yep Ts’ao Ts’ao has a goatee, at least for now, as the characters age their facial hair might change also. For a very brief moment I considered giving Ts’ao Ts’ao a fu manchu, but that’d be too dorky, even for me
