Welcome (welcome back for some of you) to Tales from the Middle Kingdom. I’m very happy and excited to officially begin Tale #2, which is based on the classic novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms. The story… well, read on and you’ll find out

Some of you already know that I took part in the March Zuda competition. The competition just ended, and the winner is Night at the Western – a great comic and most deserving winner, so congrats to Lance Bailey and Cesar Sebastian. So obviously my own little entry didn’t win – came in dead last actually – but I have no complaints it was a very strong group this month, and I had a blast and learned a lot, so it was still a very rewarding experience. Anyhoo, one of the things I learned was that my 8-page Zuda entry to Zuda was too wordy and dry, not enough “show” and too much “tell”, as they say. So I’ve decided to start over, hopefully this time round it works better (my original Zuda submission is here for anyone interested).
BTW, I’m still tweaking the website, so please bear with me and let me know if anything’s out of whack.
Hey, congrats to you too fella. Nice work! Reminds me a little of Kamui, a favourite manga of mine. I too am gonna get back to my own story and flesh it out now that the March comp is over. We didn’t win, but mad props to us, eh? hee hee.

Can’t say that i wasn’t secretly hoping that you would continue your work back here 8)… that said, sorry to hear you didn’t win over at Zuda… there were some mighty fine comments regarding your work though… it was, as you said, very interesting to hear what folks have to say! Welcome back! Looking forward to the new comic! Already love your choice of poem… its a oldie but a goodie!

Slice, Ménage a trois, Multiplex, Bonnie n Collide, Bitter Past, C’est la vie, Day by Day, Wandering Ones, Candi, Get Fuzzy, Dilbert…etc…
You made me go back to check on Zuda, but no thank, man, I’ll stick with your sort,
your thing is far more worthy of my time!
